Giving and receiving gifts is supposed to be fun, but wouldn't it be more fun if you knew you were getting exactly what you wanted before you opened the box? Wouldn't it take the stress out of gift giving if you knew the person receiving a gift from you was going to love it? Brides and moms-to-be have typically relied on a gift registry at their favorite store, but what if you are longing for 10 different items from 10 different stores? It looks greedy and diva-like to send 10 gift registries but it's rare to find everything you want at one store.
Here are some great sites I have found where you can shop from every store on the Internet and create a single wishlist. Most employ the use of a bookmarklet, a simple piece of code that you drag-and-drop into your browser toolbar. As you browse through your favorite online stores, you can click on this bookmarklet and add the item to your list. When someone says, "What do you want for your birthday?" you can either email the list or send them a link to look at your list. Each of the sites listed below have slight variations on how you create and share your list, visit them all and find which ones you like best:
At Oh Cheri!, we also have a wishlist feature and it works perfectly for lingerie. For example, your husband can browse through the shop for sexy undies and send you his list of what he wants to see you wearing. Then you can look through his list and choose items you would actually wear. This prevents that awkward moment when he hands you a piece of lingerie that you know you will never wear. The ladies can browse for exactly what they want, color, size, style, etc. and email the list to their partner. That way you know you're getting exactly what you want.
There are many opportunities to give and receive gifts, why not use the tools available to make the special day as perfect as possible!
